Sixth Round

Quintez Cephus. 6. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Wide Receiver. Wisconsin. player. 809

Adding more weapons for Darnold is one of the top priorities and after snagging Jeudy in the first round, Joe Douglas grabs another pass-catcher here in the sixth. Quintez Cephus could provide great depth to a position that already has intriguing prospects like Braxton Berrios and Vyncint Smith.

Cephus can do a lot on the football field as he can line up in the slot or outside. He’s a plus route runner and could win from anywhere. I really started following his game when he played my Ohio State Buckeyes. He did not really torch Ohio State, but he was very impressive finding ways to get open against a top secondary.

I think he could be a nice developmental player and learn from guys like Jamison Crowder and wide receiver coach Shawn Jefferson. It wouldn’t hurt to catch passes from a competent quarterback either.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Cornerback. A.J. Green. 856. Oklahoma State. 6. player

The New York Jets take another developmental cornerback who should provide more depth at the position. A.J. Green is a 6-foot-1 cornerback who has nice length, but he needs to get stronger if he wants to see the field. He does have enough talent to make the roster, but he’s going to have to put in the work.

By taking two corners in the draft the Jets have created solid depth at the position. However, they still have to sign someone to come in and be a starter. They’ll need to bring back Poole for the slot as well as tender a contract for Maulet.
