2020 NFL Mock Draft: Raiders, Jaguars make big trades in round one
I just can’t see the Miami Dolphins not taking a quarterback here at five, especially if they have their choice of Tua Tagovailoa, Justin Herbert and Jordan Love. “Tank for Tua” has been the mantra of the 2020 NFL Draft for the Dolphins for a long time now, and I don’t think that has changed.
From everything that has been said about Tua and his medicals from the combine, it has all sounded positive. The expectation is for Tua to resume football activities this upcoming week and to be able to throw either at Alabama’s or his own pro day prior to the draft.
There has been talk that Tua’s visit with the Dolphins left him feeling weird. An idea that he may not be their first choice at quarterback. Does Miami actually prefer Justin Herbert? I do, personally. But I still think that this may be Miami trying to throw other teams off their scent and trying to prevent another team from trading up in front of them.
Tua is a very cerebral quarterback who knows how to read a defense. He is very mobile and throws with great touch and anticipation, especially down the field. His current hip injury and his prior injury history may scare some teams, but as long as the medical ends up positive for Tua, I think he absolutely goes in the top 10 in the 2020 NFL Draft.
