2020 NFL Mock Draft: Raiders, Jaguars make big trades in round one
The latest rumors swirling in the NFL world surround the Washington Redskins and this second overall pick. Some feel that the new Skins front office and coaching staff may not be truly behind 2019 first round pick Dwayne Haskins as their quarterback of the future, and would be open to selecting a quarterback with their second overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
But that is not happening in my 2020 NFL mock draft here. No way. Tua Tagovailoa is the name that is being connected to the Redskins, and regardless of his current health status as learned by the medical examinations at the combine, he is not the pick here.
The pick is Chase Young. Young was absolutely incredible this season for the Buckeyes, leading the nation in both sacks and forced fumbles despite a two-game suspension and a plethora of double and triple teams down the stretch of the season.
Young can beat any offensive tackle in a variety of ways. Power, speed, counters… Young does it all at the highest level. People try to nitpick his box scores and lack of production, but the tape doesn’t lie. Young was probably the most dominant player in college football last season and comes off the board second in this 2020 NFL mock draft.
