Pick Analysis. Safety. Antoine Winfield Jr.. 60. Scouting Report. Minnesota. 25. player

Does this name look familiar, Vikings fans? Antoine Winfield had an outstanding career with the Minnesota Vikings and now his son will look to do the same after this 2020 NFL mock draft. Winfield is a real playmaker that would pair perfectly with Harrison Smith should the Vikes lose Anthony Harris in free agency.

Winfield has incredible instincts and ball skills when playing in a deep zone as the best true free safety in the 2020 NFL Draft class. But he can make an impact around the line of scrimmage as well, blitzing the quarterback and making tackles in the run games.

If Minnesota is able to resign Mackensie Alexander but loses Harris, safety would be a bigger need to keep that defense as solid as possible, in my opinion. It would be rather poetic to see Winfield Jr. go to his dad’s old team and make an impact right away for a real playoff contender.

Yetur Gross-Matos. 26. player. 59. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Penn State. Outside Linebacker

Yetur Gross-Matos was very productive throughout his time at Penn State and would be able to make an impact on every down for the Dolphins as a rookie. Miami is at the point of their rebuild where they can add talent at nearly any position and make their team a whole lot better.

After adding a quarterback and a left tackle, they bring in a pass rusher to complete to big three of the most important positions in football. Gross-Matos can get after the quarterback with a solid arsenal of moves and counter moves and his very solid against the run with his length on the edge.

Houston. 27. player. 31. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Offensive Tackle. Josh Jones

The New York Giants have been mocked an offensive tackle very frequently with their fourth overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. I think they go defense there, but in this particular 2020 NFL mock draft, they have the chance to come back into the first round and grab a very quality, starting-caliber left tackle.

The Nate Solder experiment hasn’t exactly worked out for the Giants and I think they will move on as soon as possible. They also have a hole at right tackle, so Josh Jones could play on either side of the line. He is still a little raw but he has already shown great strides in pass protection and is a force in the run game.

Josh Jones would be instrumental for the growth of young quarterback Daniel Jones, running back Saquon Barkley and the rest of the New York offense. The Seahawks are fine moving down a bit and acquiring more picks to fill more holes and the Giants get an impactful offensive lineman to contribute immediately.

28. player. Pick Analysis. Zack Baun. Wisconsin. 26. Scouting Report. Outside Linebacker

The Baltimore Ravens have a ton of free agents from their front seven, likely not being able to bring them all back. If they lose Matthew Judon and Patrick Onwuasor Baltimore will have big holes at multiple linebacker positions.

Wouldn’t it be great if they could fill both spots with one player? Now I know that’s not exactly how it works. One guy can’t play in both spots at once, but Zack Baun can play anywhere on that front seven.

Baun’s versatility would make defensive coordinator Wink Martindale a very happy guy. He can rush the passer effectively and play off the ball as a tackler and dropping back in coverage. The Ravens defense will need to remain stout for their run-heavy offense and Baun can help in a variety of ways late in the first round of this 2020 NFL mock draft.
