Pick Analysis. Cornerback. Florida. 11. Scouting Report. C.J. Henderson. player. 52

The Jacksonville Jaguars certainly have no problem in this 2020 NFL mock draft acquiring a fourth-round pick to move down just two spots to select the player that they would have taken at their original selection. It would even help them in the court of public opinion, proving to be less of a “reach” for a position of need so early in the draft.

Cornerback is undoubtedly the number one position of need for the Jags now. After trading Jalen Ramsey last season, Jacksonville recently traded A.J. Bouye to Denver for a fourth-rounder. Who is left to play corner? Tre Herndon, D.J. Hayden and Parry Nickerson. Household names, right?

C.J. Henderson had a very strong combine and was CB2 for me beforehand as well. He is extremely athletic with great feet. He can stay with any NFL receiver and has incredible ball skills if the quarterback actually throws his way. People will slam his tackling, but is that really the most important thing to pay attention to for a corner?

Sure, it plays a part, but it is more important to check the boxes that Henderson does. The Jags are clearly rebuilding and will start the reshaping of their defense with a blue-chip, lockdown corner that really has the potential to one day fill Ramsey’s shoes.

Wide Receiver. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Oklahoma. CeeDee Lamb. 12. player. 32

Much like the Jaguars, the Arizona Cardinals traded back, acquired a solid load of draft capital and still got their man. Taking the first receiver in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Cards got their young quarterback a dynamic and familiar weapon.

CeeDee Lamb has been working his way into the WR1 conversation for some time now. When a team that has his former college quarterback at the helm is the one making the decision, it’s a good bet that the choice would be Lamb.

Lamb is incredible after the catch. He is quick, shifty and has solid getaway speed. He is a real deep threat that tracks the ball very well in the air. He also has the capability to go up and highpoint any ball and bring it down.

Oh, and the opportunity to learn from one of the best to ever do it in Larry Fitzgerald doesn’t hurt either.
