Pick Analysis. Alabama. 10. 53. Scouting Report. Offensive Tackle. Jedrick Wills Jr.. player

The Cleveland Browns have a choice to make her with the 10th pick in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. It is all but written in stone at this point in this 2020 NFL mock draft that Cleveland will be selecting an offensive tackle here. The only question is which one.

While this choice isn’t necessarily the one that I would make, it seems like the most likely one at this point in the draft for the Browns. Jedrick Wills Jr. has been regarded by many evaluators as the best tackle prospect in this class. He is very technically sound and extremely well-rounded, excelling in both run blocking and pass protection.

Wills could play on either side of the line, but played right tackle at Alabama, protecting left-handed Tua Tagovailoa’s blindside. His positional versatility could come in handy for the Browns who have clear needs at both tackle spots.

Especially if the Browns call up the Washington Redskins and possibly acquire on-the-market left tackle Trent Williams for the right price (music to his former offensive line coach Bill Callahan’s ears), they could keep Wills where he is comfortable on the right side. Otherwise, he could certainly hold his own for a very long time as a franchise left tackle.

The Browns would have a decision to make if Isaiah Simmons is still on the board, but since he is not offensive tackle is inevitable. If the Browns need a left tackle and already have the void at right tackle filled by, say, Jack Conklin, then I would go with Andrew Thomas here. But Wills is a very safe and solid option with very little downside for a team that needs as many sure-things on its offensive line as they can get.
