Tight End

It has been reported that the Green Bay Packers could look to cut ties with Jimmy Graham soon, as it would free up a significant cap number that they could then spend elsewhere this offseason. This news, paired with the fact that Marcedes Lewis is set to be a free agent, means that the tight end position for the Packers has to be addressed.

In two seasons in Green Bay, Graham finished 2nd and 3rd respectively in targets, so while he didn’t quite have the impact the Packers had hoped for him, he was still a significant piece of the offense. The Packers clearly hold value in utilizing the tight end and while I do think 2019 third-round pick, Jace Sternberger, has a shot to prove something in his first healthy season next year, I expect the Packers to target one of the big names in free agency.

Guys like Austin Hooper and Eric Ebron are both young playmakers with a lot of production in their careers. Bringing in a proven guy like that and pairing him with a healthy Sternberger could pay immediate dividends for the Packers in 2020.

First Round Targets: Cole Kmet (Notre Dame)
