Wide Receiver

It’s no secret that the wide receiver position for the Packers is in desperate need of a spark. Outside of Davante Adams, the team’s leading receiver out wide last season was Allen Lazard, who the Packers signed off their practice squad just before the 2019 season kicked off. The only other consistent threats in the passing game came out of the backfield with Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams.

That being said, Aaron Rodgers was still able to put together a terrific year statistically, but this is the second year in a row that the future Hall of Famer failed to throw 30+ touchdowns. This could be a sign of him being on the latter half of his career, but I think it’s due more to a lack of guys who can make a play when the ball is in their hands.

While he and Matt LaFleur were able to find ways to make do with what they did have to work with, adding another weapon into the mix is vital to their continued success in 2020.

Luckily, this is one of the deepest receiver classes I can ever remember in the NFL Draft and I think the Green Bay Packers will dip their hand into that pot several times when it’s all said and done.

First Round Draft Targets: Justin Jefferson (LSU), Brandon Aiyuk (Arizona State), Jalen Reagor (TCU)

Free Agency Targets: Robby Anderson, Emmanuel Sanders
