The Carolina Panthers focus primarily on the defensive side of the ball in this seven-round 2020 NFL mock draft.

The Carolina Panthers are sure to be an interesting team going forward. Owner David Tepper appears to be an aggressive and forward-thinking executive who is going to put the right people in place to take the Panthers to the top. Tepper made aggressive additions to the Panthers’ coaching staff this offseason, most notably hiring Matt Rhule from the college ranks at Baylor.

Rhule has proven himself as a fantastic team builder in college and appears to be a top-tier candidate to have success at the next level. On top of that, the Panthers were able to snag Joe Brady away from LSU to be their offensive coordinator. Brady was the passing game coordinator at LSU and was credited as a major reason for their dominant offensive success in 2019.

With Rhule leading the entire team and Brady taking care of the offense, the Panthers could quickly become a force to be reckoned with in the NFC. That being said, they have a lot of work to do on the roster before this becomes a reality.

The Panthers appear willing to take a slow approach with building their roster, meaning that they will likely make most of their additions through the 2020 NFL Draft this offseason, not free agency. With some nice, young pieces already on the roster and the makings of a strong brain trust in the works, Panthers fans should be excited about what this team can become.

What is the best way for the Carolina Panthers to attack the draft this offseason? Find out in this complete seven-round 2020 NFL mock draft for the team.
