Defensive Line

I believe that the Dallas Cowboys will work to get a new contract done with Robert Quinn, so the edge will be set with him and D-Law. However, the interior needs a lot of work. They have Trysten Hill under contract, but he’s been very underwhelming. Antwaun Woods is a restricted free agent, but it is uncertain if they will even tender him a contract.

Maliek Collins is an unrestricted free agent and I just don’t know how they’ll be able to fit him in with limited salary space even if they do cut Tyrone Crawford. If Crawford is a cap casualty that would save Dallas about $6 million. Maybe they can work out a restructure with Crawford and backload a contract for Collins, but that is really pushing it close to the cap.

The problem with these moves is they also need some money left over for the draft. They’ll need about $8-10 million for their draft class. It could be done, but it would be a lot of moving parts. They would have to get very creative in how they put together their contracts.

Draft targets: Javon Kinlaw (South Carolina), Ross Blacklock (TCU), Neville Gallimore (Oklahoma), Justin Madubuike (Texas A&M)
