Andy Dalton to the New England Patriots

With Tom Brady off to the Titans, what in the world would the New England Patriots do?

I think despite the fact that part of the reason Tom Brady might leave New England is their roster structure, the Patriots would still be one of the most ideal landing spots for a veteran quarterback.

Andy Dalton and the Bengals are working together to find him the most ideal landing spot this offseason, and you would have to assume that the Patriots would be his number one fit.

The Patriots probably wouldn’t have to surrender much for Dalton considering they’d be taking on a $17.5 million base salary in acquiring him.

Dalton went to the postseason each of the first four years of his NFL career as a second-round pick out of TCU (2011) and he’s proven to be an effective game-manager over the course of the last nine seasons.

Even though he would likely be a place-holder for whatever QB the Patriots would draft in 2020, Dalton could be an effective starter in Josh McDaniels’ offense.
