Maliek Collins, defensive tackle, Cowboys

After signing Byron Jones away from the Cowboys, the Raiders continue to pluck away from Dallas and get interior defensive lineman Maliek Collins, one of the most interesting players in this free agent class.

Although Collins has proven himself to be a tremendous interior rusher over the past couple of years with Dallas, he’s also struggled some with injuries.

The Raiders have Johnathan Hankins as a big body on the inside stuffing the run as well as a talented young player in Maurice Hurst, but a player like Collins could help open things up for young pass rush duo Maxx Crosby and Clelin Ferrell, two guys who are going to be centerpieces of the Raiders’ defense moving forward.

A player like Collins can change things for everyone around him. He may not be in line for a contract north of $10 million per year, making him a nice risk/reward option for the Raiders who could wind up getting a nice value here with a guy who averages 10 QB hits per season and had four sacks a season ago.
