2020 NFL Draft: Post-combine two-round 2020 NFL mock draft with trades
Wills may be the top offensive lineman in the class, but there are many top-tier offensive tackles who are worth keeping an eye on early in the 2020 NFL Draft. The Giants have a major need at the offensive tackle position and would be wise to aggressively attack the position this offseason. After trading down a couple of picks in this mock draft, they still find themselves in a position to land an impact player at this important position of need.
Mekhi Becton is a massive man who showed off his incredible raw upside at the combine. Becton was far-and-away the biggest prospect at the combine, measuring in at an incredible 6-foot-7, 364 pounds with 35 5/8″ arms and 10 3/4″ hands. Simply put, Becton has rare size and raw power for an NFL offensive tackle.
However, what is even more uncommon is his ability to move at that size. If you take a quick look at Becton, you would imagine that he is a plodding offensive lineman who can not move in space. Well, you would be wrong, because Becton is an absolutely incredible athlete for a man of his size.
Becton 5.1-second 40-yard dash at the combine, which is a truly incredible time for a man of his size. Becton’s mobility also showed up on tape where he attacked the second level at an extremely high level and mirrored opposing edge rushers well. Becton’s combination of size, speed and power give him elite NFL upside. He would be an ideal addition to the Giants’ offensive line.
