Scouting Report. WR. Denzel Mims. 33. player. 56. Pick Analysis. Baylor

The Cincinnati Bengals have a nice group of wide receivers on the roster, but Denzel Mims is simply too tempting of an addition for Joe Burrow here. Mims tore up the combine, showing off his impressive speed and quickness. He is a big, fast and athletic receiver who has big-time upside at the next level.

A.J. Epenesa. 34. Pick Analysis. DL. Iowa. 47. Scouting Report. player

The Patriots traded down twice in the first round of this mock and eventually take A.J. Epenesa here early in the second. Epenesa did not perform well at the combine. He does not have ideal burst and quickness on the defensive line, but he is an extremely powerful player who shines in a variety of ways. If the Pats were to use him as a versatile defensive lineman who makes plays on the edge and the interior, Epenesa would have success in New England.

Pick Analysis. Alabama. 35. player. Scouting Report. Terrell Lewis. 36. EDGE

Another trade down team here, as the Seattle Seahawks make their first selection in this 2020 NFL Draft scenario. Terrell Lewis is an extremely quick and explosive edge rusher who can create consistent pressure on the quarterback. Durability is a major concern here, but Lewis has the talent to be a productive player at the next level.

S. LSU. Grant Delpit. player. Pick Analysis. 31. Scouting Report. 36

Grant Delpit had a lot of issues with tackling this season, but make no mistake about it, this guy can become a defensive playmaker at the next level. Delpit is an extremely athletic safety prospect who covers a ton of ground in coverage. He is a dynamic playmaker who could become an absolute superstar if he cleans up his tackling issues. The Giants could certainly use some juice in the secondary and Delpit could be the one to provide it.

IOL. LSU. Lloyd Cushenberry III. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 31. 37

Back-to-back picks for the Giants here, as they hold an extra second-round selection from their trade-down earlier. With this pick, the Giants go back to their offensive line and snag Lloyd Cushenberry III. Cushenberry shows a nice blend of power and athleticism at the center position and could handle offensive guard duties if needed. The Giants need to invest in their offensive line this offseason and that’s exactly what they do here.

DT. Ross Blacklock. 38. 87. Scouting Report. player. Pick Analysis. TCU

Defensive tackle stands out as a major need for the Carolina Panthers and Ross Blacklock is the best one on the board. Blacklock is an impressive one-gap penetrator who should be able to make an impact as a pass rusher and run defender at the next level. He is a gifted interior penetrator who would be a welcomed addition in Carolina.

IOL. Cesar Ruiz. 59. Michigan. 39. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

The Dolphins continue to rebuild their roster in this mock draft. Here, they work on the offensive line again, bringing in Michigan center Cesar Ruiz. Whether Ruiz plays center or guard at the next level, he is a quick and strong player who can be a stable force on the interior. He is arguably the best interior offensive lineman in the 2020 NFL Draft class.

Pick Analysis. Penn State. KJ Hamler. 40. player. Scouting Report. WR. 32

The Arizona Cardinals passed on taking an offensive playmaker earlier, but they are able to land one here. KJ Hamler is an extremely quick and explosive athlete with the ball in his hands and can make plays at all levels of the defense. The Cardinals need many productive wide receivers to play their wide-open offensive system and Hamler could quickly become an important addition.

Cal. Ashtyn Davis. 53. Scouting Report. S. player. Pick Analysis. 41

The Browns addressed their offensive tackle need earlier and here they take care of their major need at safety. Ashtyn Davis is an incredibly fast, physical and athletic safety prospect who can play deep or in the box.

52. Pick Analysis. D'Andre Swift. Georgia. 42. player. Scouting Report. RB

D’Andre Swift could easily end up being the first running back off of the board in the 2020 NFL Draft. In this mock, he does slip a bit, but it does not take anything away from his ability to make an impact on the game as a runner and a receiver. The Jaguars snag a good one here.
