2020 NFL Draft: Post-combine two-round 2020 NFL mock draft with trades
The Tennessee Titans made a surprisingly deep run through the postseason in 2019, but I don’t know if we can fully expect them to be back next season. While this is a deep and talented team on both sides of the ball. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry are both free agents this offseason. I expect the Titans to get both players back in the mix, but it is certainly possible that this team looks much different in 2019.
Assuming Tannehill and Henry both come back, edge rusher stands out as the biggest need on this roster. The Titans really need to find a long-term partner on the edge for Harold Landry. As a long and strong player on the edge, Yetur Gross-Matos feels like a great fit. Gross-Matos shows plenty of athletic upside and is already a strong run defender. He is a tough defensive player who would fit in with Tennessee extremely well.
The Indianapolis Colts have plenty of draft capital to trade up if they want and the New England Patriots are always willing to move down a few spots for extra draft capital. Here, the Colts use some of that extra capital to trade back into the first round and get their potential franchise signal-caller.
Jacob Eason is the only quarterback remaining that I would take in the first round. He certainly needs to work on his decision making and accuracy to all fields, but Eason is an extremely talented quarterback prospect who could grow into a legitimate franchise quarterback at the next level. The Colts have put together a strong culture and structure throughout their organization and would be a great team for Eason to come in and learn on.
Eason would not be their starting quarterback in 2020, but he undoubtedly has the talent to be the guy to lead them for many years.
