Scouting Report. QB. LSU. Joe Burrow. 56. Pick Analysis. 1. player

Joe Burrow has been the obvious number one overall selection throughout most of the 2020 NFL Draft process. He is coming off of one of the best seasons for a quarterback in college football history, which was capped off with a Heisman Trophy and a National Championship for LSU. Simply put, Burrow is a fantastic quarterback prospect who has a bright future at the next level.

The Cincinnati Bengals need to find a new future at the quarterback position and Burrow feels like the perfect guy. Andy Dalton has been a solid and dependable starter for the Bengals for many years, but he is unlikely to be a guy who can actually lead a team to the Super Bowl. Burrow, on the other hand, undoubtedly has that kind of upside.

Prior to the combine, there were plenty of rumblings about Burrow perhaps not liking the idea of playing in Cincinnati. The Bengals seemed all but guaranteed to pick Burrow, as long as he was willing to play there. Those whispers quieted down at the combine as Burrow talked about how it would be an honor to be the first overall pick and he would play for any team that takes him in the 2020 NFL Draft.

You can write this one down in Sharpie. Joe Burrow is going to be the first overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and the new franchise quarterback of the Cincinnati Bengals.
