EDGE

Edge rusher was a strength for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season, but Shaq Barrett, Carl Nassib, and Jason Pierre- Paul are all free agents, so it becomes a need for them this offseason. They do have the cap space to re-sign these guys, but it may be pricey after Barrett’s breakout, 19.5 sack season.

Nassib shouldn’t cost too much so it wouldn’t surprise me to see them re-sign him. Pierre-Paul probably won’t command a long-term deal, but he definitely restored some of his value after recording 8.5 sacks in 10 games.

While they would certainly love to resign all three of those guys they have to think about what position groups to spend and draft on this offseason. I personally think they’d be better off avoiding giving Shaq Barrett a big contract and saving money to spend on other areas. There are also some edge rushers who are projected to be drafted right around where the Buccaneers are picking in the first round who would be good fits.

Potential Free Agent Targets: Jadeveon Clowney, Robert Quinn, Re-sign Shaq Barrett, Markus Golden, Vic Beasley, Shaq Lawson, Bud Dupree, Quinton Jefferson, Yannick Ngakoue, Matt Judon, Everson Griffen, Dante Fowler Jr., Re-sign Carl Nassib, Re-sign Jason Pierre-Paul

Potential Draft Targets: A.J. Epenesa, K’Lavon Chaisson, Yetur Gross-Matos, Terrell Lewis, Curtis Weaver, Julian Okwara, Jonathan Greenard, Jabari Zuniga
