With the 2020 NFL Draft and free agency period creeping up quickly, it’s time to evaluate the positional needs for the Cleveland Browns.

Here we go again, Cleveland Browns fans. Another offseason of regime turnover and high expectations. The Browns clearly have a very talented roster and Cleveland has to hope that new general manager Andrew Berry and head coach Kevin Stefanski are the right guys to fill out the roster and develop players this offseason to finally live up to the hype.

With outstanding running backs Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt, Pro Bowl receivers Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry, as well as stud defensive anchors in Myles Garrett and Denzel Ward, the Cleveland Browns have a solid young core surrounding third-year quarterback and former number one overall pick Baker Mayfield.

But this current roster makeup certainly does not lack holes. Former general manager John Dorsey did a good job of bringing in a lot of very talented players, but the job is definitely not done. Berry and his staff will have a lot on their plate if they want to form one of the most well-rounded rosters in the NFL, capable of competing for a playoff spot and possibly a championship in the near future.

As it stands today, many of the positional needs for the Cleveland Browns are paired in twos. Which doesn’t exactly bode well for a one offseason overhaul into a complete team. There are many holes, with a few positions requiring multiple player additions to fill the need.

Andrew Berry stated that he wants to be known for his aggression, so it will be fun to see how he utilizes his solid load of draft picks and their over $60 million in cap space to reshape the Cleveland Browns into hopeful contenders for the 2020 NFL season.
