Miami Dolphins 7-round 2020 NFL mock draft: Building a dynamic offense
Geno Stone is a smart and physical defensive back prospect who shines in the middle of the field. He is not the most athletic defensive back in the class, but he makes up for it with incredibly natural on-field awareness. Simply put, Stone always seems to put himself in a position to make a play on the ball.
He is probably best suited as a box safety at the next level, but his ability to defend against the run and play short zone coverage gives him plenty of natural upside at the position. Stone is a rock-solid defender who could quickly become a defensive asset for the Miami Dolphins.
With their penultimate selection of this 2020 NFL mock draft, the Miami Dolphins shoot for some upside at the linebacker position. Justin Strnad is not the most physical linebacker in the middle of the field, but he is a quick and athletic player who fits the modern NFL extremely well.
Strnad ranges from sideline-to-sideline extremely well and shows impressive natural ability in coverage. He has plenty of raw upside and could become a major steal late in the draft.
With the final pick of this 2020 NFL mock draft, the Dolphins add yet another offensive playmaker to the mix. Lynn Bowden Jr. burst onto the scene this season when he switched from wide receiver to quarterback for Kentucky and led them to a lot of offensive success.
Bowden showed impressive speed, quickness and ball carrying skills at the quarterback position. He is simply a playmaker with the ball in his hands and undoubtedly has impressive athletic upside at the wide receiver position. Bowden could certainly have some success at the next level as a shifty slot receiver and return specialist.
