After loading up on offense with the first four picks of the 2020 NFL mock draft, the Miami Dolphins finally address a need on the defensive side of the ball. Michigan edge rusher Josh Uche felt like a great value here as the Dolphins are able to add him to their defensive mix with the 70th overall pick.

Uche is an incredibly quick and explosive edge rusher who piled up 7.5 sacks and 10.5 tackles for loss at Michigan last season. He has an explosive first step, bends around the edge with ease and closes on the quarterback quickly. Uche shows some nice pass-rush counter moves and does a nice job of converting from speed to power.

With explosive athleticism and impressive flexibility, Uche has a ton of natural upside as an edge rusher at the next level. He also looks strong when asked to drop back in coverage. Simply put, Uche is an impressive modern NFL defender who could come in be a dynamic defensive playmaker for the Miami Dolphins.

With their first of three fifth-round selections, the Miami Dolphins go back to the Wolverines in this 2020 NFL mock draft. Ben Bredeson is an extremely offensive guard prospect who shows impressive power at the point of attack and good functional athleticism for an offensive lineman.

He is a strong run blocker who shows incredible competitive toughness. Bredeson consistently plays through the whistle, driving opposing defenders down the field. He also shows quick feet in pass protection and anchors at an extremely high level.

The Dolphins have a lot work to do on their offensive line. Adding Thomas earlier in this 2020 NFL mock draft would help, but they could certainly use some help on the interior as well. Bredeson would be a strong pick for the Dolphins in this range.
