Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 11. 32. player. Wide Receiver. University of Alabama. Jerry Jeudy

After trading down three spots with the Jets, the Arizona Cardinals are still able to pick up the best wide receiver in the 2020 NFL Draft. Jerry Jeudy, the exciting wide-out from Alabama, can really do everything you want from a wide receiver.

Jeudy has legitimate 4.4 speed and is dangerous with the ball in his hand in the open field. He is a refined route runner who has excellent double moves and makes clean, crisp cuts out of his breaks. Jeudy doesn’t really have a big weakness in his game and his all-around abilities would see him rise quickly to the top receiver for Arizona.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Wide Receiver. 12. University of Oklahoma. CeeDee Lamb. player. 28

The Oakland Raiders need a number one wide receiver who can win outside. Oklahoma product CeeDee Lamb gives them just that. Lamb just does everything well and he is especially fun to watch when he’s got room to work.

Despite being of similar size to Jeudy, he plays bigger than he is and can win battles from contested catches to one-on-one battles in the open field. He always seems to be open and will be a welcome addition to help out veteran quarterback Derek Carr.

Utah State University. player. Pick Analysis. Quarterback. 46. Scouting Report. Jordan Love. 13

The Colts have a very solid roster overall. There are a few holes to fill in here and there but overall what they are really missing is a game-changing quarterback that can win games for them despite a few holes in the roster. While Love may not be ready to step in and play right away, he has all the tools needed to succeed in the league.

If the Colts are willing to sit him for one year behind current starting quarterback Jacoby Brissett then it could pay off in a big way. With an entire season of sitting and learning from one of the better coaches in the NFL and from a quarterback who got to learn from Tom Brady, Jordan Love could be an instant play-maker for the Colts in his sophomore campaign.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Defensive Lineman. Javon Kinlaw. 14. player. University of South Carolina. 48

Tampa Bay has an explosive offense without many holes in it. They could use an offensive lineman or two, but overall where they really need help is on defense. At this point in the draft, the best value for the Bucs is in the form of disruptive defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw.

Kinlaw is not that far behind Auburn defensive tackle Derrick Brown and may even be ahead of him in pass rushing. Kinlaw has amazing power at the point of attack and is capable of anchoring down and blocking running lanes as well. With some time and NFL coaching, Kinlaw could become a stalwart for the Buccaneers defense.

Henry Ruggs III. player. Scouting Report. Wide Receiver. University of Alabama. 15. 45. Pick Analysis

The Denver Broncos have one good receiver on the roster but need to find another one who can take advantage of quarterback Drew Lock‘s strong arm. Ruggs is a field stretcher that can take the top of defense at any moment. He complements the current star wide-out Courtland Sutton perfectly.

With Ruggs added to the offense, who brings savvy route running and good ball-tracking skills as well as his speed, it will be difficult for defenses to know which wide receiver is the bigger threat on any given game-day. These pair of wide-outs could become a top-five duo within the time that Ruggs was still playing under his rookie deal. That kind of potential is why the Broncos take Ruggs here.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Edge Defender. A.J. Epenesa. 16. University of Iowa. player. 44

The Atlanta Falcons have a huge need along both their offensive and defensive lines. They were unable to protect quarterback Matt Ryan and were unable to apply much pressure on opposing quarterbacks. This pick came down to Epenesa or offensive lineman Tristan Wirfs. Ultimately, the Falcons need to get pressure on the likes of Drew Brees and Cam Newton so they go with Epenesa here.

Epenesa is more of a traditional defensive end that plays with his hand in the dirt at almost all times. He wins with power more than anything else but does have strong hands to go with good striking power. He also brings some nice counter moves with him. Adding Epenesa to the defensive line gives them a consistent power rusher that should be able to provide a solid rookie season and a potential 10-sack per season rusher.

player. Scouting Report. Safety. University of Alabama. 123. Pick Analysis. Xavier McKinney. 17

The secondary for the Dallas Cowboys needs some work done to it this offseason. They could end up losing shutdown cornerback Byron Jones to free agency and they don’t have any safeties with star power either. At the end of the day, what they need is a leader and playmaker to be the backbone of their defense and that’s exactly what they would be getting out of Alabama safety Xavier McKinney.

McKinney has great range in centerfield and possesses the speed necessary to provide good coverage and run support. If McKinney falls to 17, the Cowboys should be excited to finally get a player that can play all over the backend of the defense at a high level. McKinney would provide the Cowboys with more turnovers as well and ultimately be the defensive star the secondary currently lacks.

University of Iowa. Scouting Report. Offensive Lineman. Tristan Wirfs. 18. player. 59. Pick Analysis

After securing their franchise quarterback earlier in the draft, the Dolphins need to improve the offensive line so Tagovailoa isn’t getting killed every time he drops back to snap. Wirfs is a very good tackle prospect who dominated much of his competition during his time at Iowa. Wirfs plays with an attitude on the field and will do his best to make sure his opponent ends up on the ground.

He is a solid all-around pass protector and run blocker. Wirfs can play either tackle position but should start on the right side as a rookie. There are people that believe his best position in the NFL is at guard, but there’s no reason to not try him at tackle first. Good to great offensive tackles are worth more than great to elite offensive guards in today’s NFL and Wirfs shows the potential to be an above-average starting offensive tackle in the league.

19. 28. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Cornerback. Louisiana State University. Kristian Fulton. player

Kristian Fulton, the cornerback out of LSU, has all of the traits needed to become a high-level starter in the NFL. As of this moment, the Oakland Raiders still need a cornerback that they can call their top corner without a doubt. Fulton brings the qualities needed to excel and his speed should help him cover up some of the more unrefined things in his game that still needs work.

The Raiders shouldn’t expect Fulton to blossom into a lockdown corner right away as he does have some work to be done if he’s to reach his potential. However, all the tools are there and the film of him is fun to watch. With a year of working experience against NFL receivers, the Raiders should find their top corner here in the first round with Fulton.

University of Florida. C.J. Henderson. Pick Analysis. Cornerback. 20. player. 52. Scouting Report

After trading away star cornerback Jalen Ramsey last season, the Jaguars find themselves needing another corner that can travel with opponents’ number one wide receiver. Henderson was an elite college corner and showed on film he can be a very good NFL man coverage corner. He has the speed and traits to excel in that area.

The biggest thing he needs to work on is his tackling. Simply put, he didn’t want to tackle at Florida and would avoid it whenever he could. If he can improve in that area and provide better run support and tackling abilities then he could live up to his high potential.
