Dallas Cowboys complete seven-round 2020 NFL mock draft
Going seven rounds deep with the Dallas Cowboys in this complete 2020 NFL mock draft.
The Dallas Cowboys are undoubtedly going to be one of the most interesting teams to watch this offseason. They currently have over $77 million in cap space to work with, the fifth-most in the entire NFL, but a majority of that is spoken for by their own free agents.
In particular, the Cowboys will likely use at least half of that cap space to lock in quarterback Dak Prescott. Prescott took a big step forward last season and the Cowboys are going to have to pay him as one of the premier quarterbacks in the league. They also have star wide receiver Amari Cooper and lockdown cornerback Byron Jones to deal with. Jones feels like the odd man out in Dallas, but even if they do not bring him back, their financial flexibility is limited.
Simply put, a majority of the improvements that will make this offseason will have to come through the draft. I expect this to be a defense-heavy draft for the Cowboys, as they will likely look to improve their 19th-ranked defense, according to DVOA. In particular, their pass defense, which was ranked 23rd in the NFL according to DVOA, needs some work.
The offense is not going to be ignored in this 2020 NFL mock draft, but a majority of their resources will go towards improving their defensive unit. Without further ado, let’s take a look at this complete seven-round 2020 NFL mock draft for the Dallas Cowboys.
