Cleveland Browns seven-round 2020 NFL mock draft
By Ian Higgins
2019 Starters: Larry Ogunjobi, Sheldon Richardson
At only 6-foot-3, 291 pounds, Larrell Murchison is a 4-3 defensive tackle who should operate out of the 3 technique. He has shown great burst off of the snap and become a prime interior pass-rushing prospect in the 2020 NFL draft. Murchison is a feisty pass-rusher with respectable hand skills to engage and shed defenders at the point of attack.
Current Browns interior defensive linemen Ogunjobi and Richardson serve their role well but need help. A lack of depth on the Browns’ defensive line has garnered them ineffective throughout the course of a game and forces the weight of the game onto the offense’s shoulders. With the addition of Murchison, Cleveland is gaining an additional interior pass-rush presence who can rotate in and contribute from day one.

2019 Starters: Myles Garrett, Olivier Vernon
After an impressive senior bowl week, Bradlee Anae has risen up draft boards to become one of the sleeper edge-rushers of the 2020 NFL draft. Anae is only 6-foot-3, 265 pounds, meaning he is lacking on both the reach and power of rival offensive tackles. With this size, production, and pass-rushing style, Anae draws plenty of comparisons to NFL reigning sack leader Shaquill Barrett.
Similarly to the interior of the defensive line, Cleveland needs to add depth to their edge-rushing talent to support both Myles Garrett and Olivier Vernon. Anae is a sparkplug player who brings energy to any defensive front and could become a natural leader in the locker room in due time.
