At this point, it would be a surprise if Andrew Thomas wasn’t a really common mock draft selection for the New York Jets.

Not only does Thomas ably fill the Jets’ most pressing need, he also presents a good value here.

For whatever reason, Thomas went from being a lock for the top three picks in the 2020 NFL Draft to being a mysterious pre-Scouting Combine faller.

I have no idea why.

When you watch Thomas play, you see a guy who looks like he was molded by an offensive line scientist in a lab. He’s built perfectly for the position, he’s technically sound, and while scouts have some concerns about his balance in pass protection, Thomas is a dominant road grader in the run game and certainly can be developed more in pass pro.

I think if he’s there for the Jets, they could make this pick and lock down a critical position for years to come.
