Wide Receiver

This Michael Thomas guy just isn’t cutting it in New Orleans, finishing last season with a measly 149 receptions and only 1,725 yards. Pathetic.

Seriously, the Saints have been clamoring for a WR2 for a few seasons now. While Thomas has been amazing enough to make up for not having one, you can never have enough weapons. Just ask the Chiefs, who seem to be stock piling elite receiving threats on their way to a dynasty.

With this receiving class looking to be an elite group of prospects, this is the time for the Saints to strike and add another weapon. I believe the best fit for them would be Henry Ruggs, who would be a perfect complement to Michael Thomas. Ruggs would provide unmatched speed and be able to take the top off the defense to open up Thomas to put in even more damage.

Guys like KJ Hamler and Jalen Reagor can be nice fits on day 2 if the Saints can’t get the top receiver on their board. The clock is ticking on Drew Brees’ playing days combine that with a deep receiving class, this is the time for the Saints to go grab another receiving threat.
