2020 NFL Draft prospects who will boost stock at NFL Scouting Combine
Mekhi Becton, OT, Louisville
Mekhi Becton is an massive man who will likely be a first-round offensive tackle in the 2020 NFL Draft class. Becton is listed at an incredible 6-foot-7, 369 pounds, but he moves extremely well for a man of his size. Becton is not just a powerful plodder who clears holes in the run game. He is a dancing bear who shines in pass protection and can reach the second-level as a run blocker.
It will be interesting to see what Becton weighs in at in Indianapolis. He may slim down a bit and would still have plenty of size on his frame. I fully expect Becton to test extremely well for a man of his size and it should improve his already impressive 2020 NFL Draft stock. With a big performance at the combine, Becton could find himself in the top five conversation.
Denzel Mims, WR, Baylor
Denzel Mims is listed at 6-foot-3, 215 pounds. He is a big and long wide receiver who has a wide catch radius and is impressive in contested-catch situations. On top of that, Mims shows impressive long speed and some nice short-area quickness. If Mims runs his 40-yard dash at around 4.38 or lower, his 2020 NFL Draft stock will explode. With a strong enough showing at the combine, Mims could become a possible first-round selection.
Ashtyn Davis, S, Cal
Last, but not least, we are going to talk about Cal safety Ashtyn Davis. Davis is an extremely athletic and explosive defensive back who has obvious upside at the next level. He became an incredible asset on the defensive side of the ball for Cal throughout his college career, but Davis was also a star on the track.
In 2018, Davis was a second-team All-American in track in the 110-meter hurdles. His explosive speed and athleticism are obvious on tape and that should easily translate to the combine. Expect Davis to put up massive testing numbers at the combine which could cement his status as a first-round selection.
