K’Lavon Chaisson, EDGE, LSU

K’Lavon Chaisson is an incredibly athletic and explosive edge defender who has massive upside at the next level. Mostly due to injuries, Chaisson was never the most productive player in college, but it is easy to see to his upside on tape. Chaisson has an incredibly quick first step and shows ridiculous bend around the edge.

He is an extremely explosive edge defender who converts from speed to power extremely well and even has enough athleticism to drop in coverage and defend a variety of players. Simply put, Chaisson is an absolute freak on the edge. He is extremely likely to perform well at the combine, shining in the speed, quickness and explosion drills.

Chaisson is an incredibly athletic prospect who will shine at the NFL Scouting Combine. Right now, he is a likely top 15 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. With a strong combine performance, do not be surprised if Chaisson cements himself as a top 10 selection.

Darrell Taylor, EDGE, Tennessee

Darrell Taylor is not a first-round 2020 NFL Draft prospect. He will likely go sometime late on Day 2 or early on Day 3. That being said, his raw athleticism on the edge is obvious and I expect him to shine at the combine.

Taylor will likely test well at the combine, but I think a new combine drill will specifically show off his impressive skill-set. Among the new drills to be debuted at the combine this year will be the ‘run the hoop’ drill for defensive linemen.

In this drill, the defensive lineman will run in a figure-eight motion and pick up an object in the middle. Picking up the object in the middle will help show a prospect’s ability to bend around the edge. Taylor shows ridiculous bend around the edge and should be able to shine in this drill. Everybody loves an explosive and flexible edge rusher and Taylor certainly fits the bill. I expect Taylor to show off his upside at the combine and rise the 2020 NFL Draft board.
