WR. Brandon Aiyuk. 2. player. 854. Pick Analysis. Arizona State. Scouting Report

Wide receiver is already a major position of need for the New York Jets. If they lose Robby Anderson, that need only becomes more important. In the second round of this mock draft, the Jets address their need at wide receiver by bringing in Brandon Aiyuk.

Aiyuk is a quick and explosive receiver who is always a big play waiting to happen. He stretches the field extremely well as a deep receiver and also shows tremendous run after catch ability. Once the ball is in his hands, Aiyuk shows some nice elusiveness in the open field. He also has the raw speed to take it to the house from anywhere on the field.

Aiyuk also has great length and often wins in contested-catch situations. He has massive upside at the next level and could quickly grow into the number one target for Darnold in the Jets’ passing attack.

Scouting Report. IOL. Louisiana Lafayette. 3. Pick Analysis. Robert Hunt. player. 30

The New York Jets continue to build their roster around Darnold by taking another player who can help him on the offensive side of the ball. Robert Hunt played both guard and tackle in college but is extremely likely to be a full-time offensive guard at the next level.

Hunt is an extremely powerful offensive lineman who absolutely dominates at the point of attack. He fires off the ball quickly and does a great job of fighting in short spaces. Hunt shows an incredibly strong initial punch in both pass protection and as a run blocker. He also has quick feet, mirroring opposing rushers well and showing the ability to handle second-level responsibilities.

Simply put, Hunt has an incredible combination of quickness and power as an interior offensive line prospect. He has a bright future at the next level and would undoubtedly be a strong addition to this offensive line. Pairing Hunt with Thomas on the left side of the offensive could be a dominant duo for the New York Jets for many years.
