2. Offensive Line

The Cincinnati Bengals need to bolster their offensive line on the right side at both tackle and guard. In the 2019 NFL Draft, the Bengals drafted offensive tackle Jonah Williams to fill the left side of the line. Williams was a first-round pick but missed the entire season with a shoulder injury.

Also, the Bengals picked up a guard, Michael Jordan out of Ohio State, in the fourth round of the 2019 draft. So I believe this year they will focus on the right side of the offensive line.

Currently at right guard they have fringe starter John Miller who signed as a free agent in 2019 after playing for the Buffalo Bills his first four seasons in the league. At the right tackle position is five-year veteran Bobby Hart who has split time between the Bengals and the Giants. The Bengals need to look at upgrading both positions on the right side like they did on the left side last year.

The Cincinnati Bengals should look to day 2 and 3 to improve the offensive line to help protect the franchise quarterback they take with the first overall pick. If Tristan Wirfs, the Iowa right tackle, is on the board when the Bengals pick in the second round, they should make him their selection.

Wirfs is one of the top right tackles in this draft class and can start on day one for the Bengals. As for the right guard position I like more of the raw talented guards in this draft such as Georgia’s Ben Cleveland or St John’s Ben Bartch. I expect both these guards to be available on Day 3.

If the Cincinnati Bengals decide to make Cleveland or Bartch their pick, I would expect them to sit behind John Miller for the season and learn from the veteran guard.
