Pick Analysis. Akeem Davis-Gaither. player. Scouting Report. Linebacker. Appalachian State. 4. 58

I know that this doesn’t exactly fit with what the Washington Redskins need at linebacker (the answer to that is a SAM), but head coach Ron Rivera had Shaq Thompson in Carolina as a sub-package linebacker who could wreak havoc, so why not add one here in Akeem Davis-Gaither?

Davis-Gaither should test extremely well at the combine, and his speed and athleticism will be put to good use as an off-ball linebacker in the NFL. He can also be an effective chess piece on blitzes for Washington.

Pick Analysis. Safety. Jordan Fuller. 5. player. 58. Scouting Report. Ohio State

Landon Collins works best in the box and around the line of scrimmage as a safety, and it remains to be seen how well Montae Nicholson continues to grow after a better season in 2019. Adding Jordan Fuller to the mix is worth it here. He has good functional athleticism and can develop with better work on his pursuit angles on the back end of a defense.

Pick Analysis. Offensive Line. Louisiana. Kevin Dotson. player. Scouting Report. 7. 58

The offensive line is a question mark right now with fewer pieces in place, but adding someone with the raw power Kevin Dotson has this late would be great for Washington. His stock is starting to gain some steam.

Darius Anderson. 7. player. 58. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Running Back. TCU

The Redskins did just pick up Adrian Peterson’s option for 2020, but he’s a free agent after the season. Washington hopes Derrius Guice can stay healthy and be their guy, but it’s worth adding another running back to the fold. Darius Anderson is electric in space as a third-down, change-of-pace guy.
