player. Scouting Report. 2. Notre Dame. Cole Kmet. 58. Pick Analysis. Tight End

Tight end is a major need for the Washington Redskins, especially after they released Jordan Reed on Thursday afternoon.. Picking up a second-round pick from the Dolphins was huge for Washington and they decide to use that pick on a tight end here.

The 2020 NFL Draft doesn’t have that elite tight end at the top, but there will be some impact players who are worth the attention on day two. Notre Dame’s Cole Kmet could be one of those guys. Kmet initially was set to return for another season, but changed his mind later in the process. Kmet isn’t a great athlete for the position, but has a big frame, strong hands, and makes things look easy in contested spots.

Scouting Report. Florida. 3. player. 58. Pick Analysis. Wide Receiver. Van Jefferson

The wide receiver position got a big boost with Terry McLaurin last season, and he’s in position to be their top guy going forward. However, there are still question marks behind him in Trey Quinn and Kelvin Harmon.

Here at the top of round three, the Redskins go with Van Jefferson. While McLaurin brings the twitch and vertical threat to the offense, Jefferson is a consistent separator who can win underneath with a variety of releases and extensive route tree. He will become a favorite for quarterback Dwayne Haskins.
