Welcome to another episode of the NFL Mocks Podcast! Things start off with the rumors surrounding Joe Burrow and the Bengals and get into welcoming Drew Brees back for another season with the Saints. Where could Teddy Bridgewater go now? The guys have a few thoughts on that (9:00).

The guys also discuss Mel Kiper’s belief that 25-30 wide receivers could go in the first three rounds. Is it far-fetched? What are Jake and Nate’s predictions (10:30)?

Then it’s time to talk about the new collective bargaining agreement! There’s a new proposal for the NFL to have seven playoff teams in each conference along with a 17 game season and a drop to three preseason games. Jake isn’t too happy about this change.

Then it’s on to the Minnesota Vikings, fixing them through free agency and the 2020 NFL Draft. One guy on the chopping block (UPDATE: Everson Griffen did opt-out for 2020 and became a free agent) is edge rusher, Everson Griffen. Nate and Jake also agree that cutting Xavier Rhodes, Riley Reiff, and Pat Elflein makes sense to free up some cap space.

Then it’s on to the draft (35:45) where things get interesting. Nate goes with a pair of Alabama defensive backs in the first and second round, while Jake goes with a defensive tackle in round one and an offensive tackle in round two. In the third round, Nate goes with a tackle from the SEC, while Jake addresses the interior offensive line. For the full seven-round mocks, check out the pod!

The guys also (quickly) answer a few questions at the end! I hope you enjoyed the latest edition of the NFL Mocks podcast!
