LSU. K'Lavon Chaisson. 16. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. EDGE. 44

The Atlanta Falcons need a lot of pass rush help especially as they made it known that they will not be bringing back Vic Beasley. They can find a pass rusher in free agency, but they may view them as too pricey. Instead, K’Lavon Chaisson is still available in this 2020 NFL Mock Draft so Atlanta decides to take a pass rusher with one of the highest ceilings in this class.

Chaisson may not have had the production of a top edge rusher in college but he does possess all of the tools. His bend is really remarkable, which begs the question of why he didn’t have the numbers many project him to have at the next level.

Scouting Report. LSU. 17. player. Pick Analysis. Cornerback. Kristian Fulton. 123

The Dallas Cowboys need secondary help at cornerback and safety. They have a top free agent that is unlikely to return in Byron Jones and must replace his void. Kristian Fulton is my second rated cornerback in this draft and I think he would fit perfectly in Dallas’ new defense. They’ll need to find a starting safety later on in the draft, but I like the depth of this group.

Offensive Tackle. Houston. Pick Analysis. Josh Jones. 18. player. 59. Scouting Report

The Dolphins have found their franchise quarterback already in this 2020 NFL Mock Draft and now they’ll take the guy that will be responsible for his blindside. Josh Jones has enjoyed a nice rise into the first round as many people didn’t even have him in their top 50. He’s come on even stronger as of late and for good reason. He has a load of potential and could be viewed as a safer pick than some of the tackles already off the board.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 19. 28. Linebacker. LSU. Patrick Queen. player

The Raiders went offense with their first pick in Round 1, but now its time to address the defense. Patrick Queen possesses the tools to be an impactful linebacker at the next level. He has great sideline to sideline speed which is needed to cover ground in the run game. The best thing about him though is his closing speed. He has the ability to be an effective rusher inside as well.

Pick Analysis. Cornerback. 20. player. Scouting Report. Florida. C.J. Henderson. 52

Jacksonville sticks with defense as they take a top corner in this class. They are likely to part with A.J. Bouye and have already traded Jalen Ramsey during the season which makes cornerback their top need. C.J. Henderson not only has a bunch of talent, but he has tremendous leadership skills. He has zero red flags off the field and is a gamer on the field. Jaguars fans would be happy to have him on their team.

Pick Analysis. Alabama. 21. player. Scouting Report. Wide Receiver. Henry Ruggs III. 54

It has been clear for a while to anyone that has watched Eagles games that they are deprived of receivers. I’m not sure how much they can rely on Alshon Jeffrey considering he’s always banged up and they have little to nothing behind him. Enter Henry Ruggs III, he’s fast-very fast, and he has great hands and awareness.

Many people will be surprised that he’s still on the board in this 2020 NFL Mock Draft, but that’s just how the board fell. This is great value for Philly and Carson Wentz should be thrilled with this selection.

Colorado. Laviska Shenault Jr.. 22. 16. Scouting Report. player. Pick Analysis. Wide Receiver

The Buffalo Bills and a very good season to the surprise of everyone except Buffalo fans. Josh Allen may not have looked pretty playing the quarterback position but he got the job done…until he didn’t. Man what a terrible playoff performance that was.

However, I am a big fan of him and want him to be successful. In order for that to happen, he needs a big-bodied, big playmaking wide receiver. Laviska Shenault Jr. is exactly that. He has great size and speed to be a playmaker for Allen.

Iowa. A.J. Epenesa. 23. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Defensive Lineman. player. 47

The Patriots surprisingly have a number of holes to fill on their roster. I will not include quarterback among those holes because I just can’t believe Tom Brady playing for any other team. They do need to surround him with weapons, but this draft is deep with playmakers. Their pass rush, however, could use a big upgrade. Kyle Van Noy is likely gone in free agency and they do not have a ton of money to spend. That leaves the draft as the best option.

A.J. Epenesa has endured a draft-day fall in this 2020 NFL Mock Draft, but he lands with the best organization in all of sports. Bill Belichick can turn Epenesa into one of the best rushers in the NFL. It’s just what he does.

Wide Receiver. Justin Jefferson. 24. player. 15. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. LSU

The Saints need a Robin to Michael Thomas and Justin Jefferson is as good as they come. Jefferson won’t wow anyone with his speed or strength, but he’s a very good receiver. His hands are very strong and reliable. He’s very good at tracking the deep ball, but I’m not sure if that’s a strength of Drew Brees anymore. Either way, Jefferson will be a great addition as the Saints try to make one last run with their Hall of Fame quarterback.

Pick Analysis. TCU. 25. player. Scouting Report. Cornerback. Jeff Gladney. 60

This will be a predictable pick when draft day rolls around. It may not be Jeff Gladney, but it will definitely be a cornerback. Minnesota is likely to cut ties with Xavier Rhodes and their other two top corners, Mackensie and Waynes, are set to be free agents. I expect at least one to return, but they’ll still need another one.

Gladney is my top cornerback still on the board so Minnesota rolls with the TCU defensive back. He provides good length and does a good job at helping against the run. He will come up and make a tackle.
