Pick Analysis. Jeremy Chinn. 57. 4. player. Scouting Report. S. Southern Illinois

With their extra pick that they snagged from the trade with the Jets, the Bears go back to the defensive side of the ball in the fourth round. Jeremy Chinn is an extremely athletic safety prospect who has massive upside at the next level. He is a true playmaker in the secondary who flies around the field and attacks the ball on a consistent basis.

Chinn showed plenty of versatility in college but is probably best suited as primarily an in-the-box defender at the next level. He is an extremely physical player who closes space quickly and is at his best when working downhill. Chinn has a nose for the ball and does a great job of working through traffic and attacking the ball carrier as a run defender.

Chinn is not the most impressive man coverage defender, but he shines in short zone coverage. He reads the quarterback well and shows tremendous natural ball skills when playing zone. Make no mistake about it, Chinn will be a playmaker at the next level and would be a strong pick for the Chicago Bears in this range.

Pick Analysis. OL. Ezra Cleveland. player. Scouting Report. Boise State. 5. 895

The offensive line stands out as a major need for the Bears. Their interior offensive line struggled throughout last season and they could certainly use more depth at the tackle position. Unfortunately, the lack of draft capital will not allow the Bears to address all of their needs with a premium prospect.

In this 2020 NFL mock draft, the offensive line need is not addressed until the fifth round, where the Bears bring in Boise State offensive tackle Ezra Cleveland.

Cleveland is quick and athletic for an offensive lineman, always looking his best when asked to block in space. There are some functional strength concerns here, but he also has a tall, slender frame that could allow for some bulk at the next level. Cleveland is not a perfect prospect, but he is a solid pass protector who has upside as a run blocker. I like Cleveland as a possible swing tackle for the Bears who could perhaps kick inside to guard if needed.
