Linebacker

While the offensive line is certainly the team’s most pressing need at the moment, if the Rams aren’t able to re-sign Cory Littleton, inside linebacker becomes a major issue as well. Littleton is coming off of his best season as a pro and is likely to demand top money at the position this offseason.

He is exactly what teams want from a middle linebacker in today’s NFL, as he has sideline to sideline stuff and steadily improving instincts to go with it.

If LA isn’t able to bring him back, they could be in big trouble, as Littleton was the only interior linebacker to play significant snaps for the team in 2019. The Rams like to play a lot of nickel and dime looks and asked a lot of Littleton to make plays when they came his way and he did not disappoint.

LA will obviously have to make some big decisions as far as who they are willing to let walk and who they should bring back, but if they are deciding between Dante Fowler, Michael Brockers, or Cory Littleton, I think Littleton is the easy decision. Replacing him in free agency or the draft would only patch another hole that the team can’t afford to create right now.
