The linebacker position stands out as a massive need for the Las Vegas Raiders this offseason. The Vontaze Burfict experiment was a bust this past season and I would be surprised to see them bring him back this offseason. They still have Tahir Whitehead who is a solid option at outside linebacker for the team, but there is little else to speak of at the position on the roster. Simply put, the Raiders must make multiple additions at linebacker this offseason.

They will undoubtedly be in the linebacker market in the 2020 NFL Draft, but this draft class is not exactly loaded with talent at the position. Before the draft rolls around, I would expect the Raiders to at least make a minor addition or two at the position in free agency and Reggie Ragland stands out as a logical target for this team.

Ragland was a second-round selection by the Buffalo Bills back in 2016. He was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs early in his career, where he has been a solid contributor for the team ever since. Ragland played more of a part-time role with the Chiefs in 2019 but is still a solid contributor on the inside.

Ragland lacks impact speed and quickness at the linebacker position, but he is a tough and physical inside linebacker who could bring some stability to the position for the Las Vegas Raiders. He would not be the most exciting addition that this team could make, but Ragland is a rock-solid player who would likely come in at a low cost.
