Improving the Houston Texans with a complete seven-round 2020 NFL mock draft.

Led by massive superstars like Deshaun Watson, J.J. Watt and DeAndre Hopkins, the Houston Texans have one of the most purely talented rosters in the entire NFL. They have not been able to put it all together consistently, but this team could legitimately be an impact player or two away from putting together a deep postseason run.

The Texans have positional needs to take care of this offseason, but most of their damage will likely have to be done through free agency. According to Over the Cap, the Texans enter the offseason with the sixth-most cap space in the entire NFL, with over $64 million to work with. They will be able to make significant additions in free agency, but the 2020 NFL Draft may be a different story.

Due to the Laremy Tunsil trade with the Miami Dolphins, the Houston Texans do not have a first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. They also sent their third-round pick to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for Duke Johnson. Simply put, the Texans will enter the draft with little capital to work with.

As things stand now, the Houston Texans only have five picks in the 2020 NFL Draft. They have their own second-round selection, two fourth-round picks (their own and Miami’s) and their own fifth and seventh-round picks. This team is going to have to dig deep if they are going to find much impact talent in the 2020 NFL Draft.

All of that being said, they are still a good team in a good situation. They have a talented roster and enough cap space to make significant additions in free agency. Here, we are going to do what we can with the little draft capital they have. Without further ado, here is a complete seven-round 2020 NFL mock draft for the Houston Texans.
