2020 NFL Draft: Henry Ruggs goes top 10 in first-round NFL mock draft
The Baltimore Ravens are up next here in the 2020 NFL Draft. After a 2-2 start in 2019, the Ravens rattled off 12 straight wins en route to the top seed in the AFC and the best record in the NFL. Their rushing attack, led by Mark Ingram and 2019 NFL MVP Lamar Jackson, took the league by storm and looked unstoppable. However, they didn’t look unstoppable in the divisional round, as they outmuscled and dominated by the Tennessee Titans.
The Ravens are a team with a few select needs heading into the 2020 NFL Draft, and one of those needs is wide receiver. Marquise Brown looked good as a deep threat, but they need more help in that area.
Laviska Shenault Jr. would be a perfect addition to this already dynamic offense. Shenault is one of the gadget types at the wide receiver position in the 2020 NFL Draft, and gadget players often need offenses that play to their strengths. Baltimore does that for Shenault.
His speed and effectiveness after the catch make him perfect to work on jet sweeps and reverses, and he can turn a short gain into a score. Shenault can grow into a reliable receiver who could also get some reps at running back with his size and physical prowess.
