2020 NFL Draft: Henry Ruggs goes top 10 in first-round NFL mock draft
The Buffalo Bills put together a great season led by head coach Sean McDermott and a developing Josh Allen. To keep the momentum going for Bills Mafia, it’s important to keep developing Allen and helping him out with weapons in the passing game, preferably one who can go up and make plays in contested spots down the field.
However, the edge could use some retooling, especially with Shaq Lawson headed for free agency and Jerry Hughes getting up there in age. Here, the Bills go edge, since it’s not every day you get a pass rusher with the talent of K’Lavon Chaisson at the 22nd overall pick.
Chaisson is quickly growing into a draft crush for many and is pushing A.J. Epenesa as the second-best edge rusher in the 2020 NFL Draft class. He came into the 2019 season with a lot of projection as far as his draft stock goes, especially after he missed most of the 2018 season.
Chaisson had an excellent 2019 season, showing that he can be a true edge defender for three downs. He can win with a wicked first step and bend around the edge, but he has shown an array of moves and the toughness and instincts to play the run. He’d be great next to Ed Oliver on that defense.
