2020 NFL Draft: Henry Ruggs goes top 10 in first-round NFL mock draft
The Jaguars got an excellent talent in Isaiah Simmons with their first 2020 NFL Draft selection, and now they are back on the clock here at 20. We’ve talked about how the Jaguars unloaded Jalen Ramsey for a pair of first-round picks, but another thing to note regarding the Jacksonville secondary is the report of them possibility cutting A.J. Bouye to free up some cap space.
A move like that would move the corner position from priority to a dire need. Here, the Jaguars join the run on corner and select TCU’s Jeff Gladney.
It was unfortunate that Gladney was unable to participate in the Senior Bowl because he was in store for a great time to rise up 2020 NFL Draft boards. The good news is that he still has the combine to show teams and scouts that he’s got the athleticism to play the position and become a combine riser.
Gladney isn’t only a great athlete, he’s a darn good corner too. He has the versatility to play in the slot and on the perimeter and shows extremely quick feet and good balance. Gladney is also a dynamo at the catch point, registering 26 pass breakups in his last two season with the Horned Frogs.
