2020 NFL Draft: Henry Ruggs goes top 10 in first-round NFL mock draft
The best part about mock drafts is being able to run different scenarios to see how things turn out, but with the first overall pick, there’s really no reason to do so. The 2020 NFL Draft will open with the Cincinnati Bengals on the clock, and they will select Joe Burrow out of LSU.
All the talk recently about Burrow not explicitly stating he wants to play for the Bengals has put the speculation all over the place. Could Cincinnati pass on Burrow for Justin Herbert? Will they draft and trade him? All of that is just the media trying to find something to talk about until the commissioner takes the podium in Las Vegas.
Burrow enjoyed the meteoric rise of the decade in terms of draft stock. No one predicted he’d throw for 60 touchdowns to just six interceptions, while also completing 76.3 percent of his passes and finishing with 10.6 yards per attempt.
Burrow is the best in the 2020 NFL Draft class in terms of accuracy deep down the field. He doesn’t have the strongest arm, but he makes up for it in important areas. Burrow is a master at maneuvering in the pocket and has great poise and decision making. He is also a pretty good athlete and can make plays outside the pocket.
