Wide Receiver. player. 45. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Alabama. Jerry Jeudy. 15

As we near the halfway point in the first round, the Denver Broncos are on the clock. It’s possible that Denver has their franchise quarterback in the building, as John Elway and company have finally hit at the position post-Peyton Manning. They finally get to focus elsewhere here in round one.

Since Drew Lock is set here, adding some more weapons on the outside couldn’t hurt for the Broncos, even after getting the breakout season from Courtland Sutton. When a talent like Jerry Jeudy is still on the board, it’s time to pounce.

Jeudy has everything a team can want in a wide receiver prospect and is tops in the 2020 NFL Draft. He’s the most refined route runner in the draft and has wicked releases off the line of scrimmage mastered. His ability to sink his hips and change direction creates such crisp routes and instant separation. Jeudy makes defenders look silly after the catch and has the speed to challenge defenders deep.

The Broncos could use Jeudy both on the outside and in the slot with his versatility. He’d be able to win quickly to make things easier for Lock while also being able to threaten deep down the field. A trio of Sutton, Jeudy and Noah Fant would be deadly.
