2020 NFL Draft: Henry Ruggs goes top 10 in first-round NFL mock draft
The newly-minted Las Vegas Raiders are ready for their own new era of sorts in the betting capital. They have two picks in the 2020 NFL Draft thanks to the Khalil Mack trade, and they are in prime position to draft a couple of studs in the first round.
One of their biggest needs is the wide receiver position. The Antonio Brown experiment didn’t fare well for the Raiders, and Tyrell Williams isn’t enough on the boundary. In this mock draft, they have the consensus top two receivers available for them at 12.
In this mock, the Raiders select CeeDee Lamb. Lamb may not be a burner at the level of Jerry Jeudy and Henry Ruggs III, but he brings plenty to the table as a receiver. Lamb has excellent ball skills and is great at winning in contested spots down the field along with making great adjustments when the ball is in the air.
He’s also a machine after the catch, showing great agility and competitive toughness to power through defenders and find the end zone, not to mention his ability to hit an extra gear. Lamb could become the primary target in this offense early on as a rookie and make life for quarterback Derek Carr easier.
