Isaiah Simmons is kind of a freak of nature when it comes to defensive prospects coming out in recent years. We just haven’t seen anyone quite like this in terms of a player who can play slot corner, inside linebacker, safety, outside corner, defensive end, and pretty much whatever else a defensive coordinator could draw up.
Simmons is a weapon, and he was the heart and soul of one of the best teams in college football this past year.
Matt Rhule and his staff are undoubtedly going to be looking for players to establish a culture in Carolina, and with Kuechly gone, Simmons is a player who can definitely do that.
This guy is probably going to run somewhere in the 4.4 range at 6-foot-4, 230 pounds.
