2020 NFL Draft: Huge trades shake up two-round mock draft
For the first time since 2004, Philip Rivers is not going to be on the field or on the sideline for the Chargers.
That’s going to be a bizarre sight to behold.
With Tyrod Taylor in place as a capable bridge player, the Chargers don’t have to necessarily fret about making a splash move at the position, and as they move into their new home at SoFi Stadium, they should keep their options open.
Justin Herbert had an outstanding career at Oregon and has all of the physical tools needed to be a successful NFL quarterback.
The Chargers are going to have to continue developing him as Herbert will still struggle reading the field and making the correct decisions with the ball, but he’s got a ton of talent and is a worthy franchise quarterback option, even at this point in the draft.
