Pick Analysis. Ross Blacklock. 35. 29. player. Scouting Report. DL. TCU

Paired with last year’s first-round pick Jeffery Simmons, Ross Blacklock might help give the Titans one of the best young duos of defensive linemen in the NFL.

Like Simmons, Blacklock is an absolute destructive force on the defensive interior with a tremendous bull rush. Although injuries prevented him from having the productivity (9.0 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks in 2019) one would expect from a first-round defensive lineman, he’s got the physical skills and tools to be a great pro.

The Titans don’t have a ton of needs that jump out but improving your defensive front, especially at this juncture of the draft, is always a worthwhile investment.

Jurrell Casey is not old by any means but having a player like Blacklock would allow the Titans to keep their defensive line rotation fresh and wear teams out in the trenches over the course of four quarters.
