Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. CB. 20. player. Florida. CJ Henderson. 52

Last year, the Jaguars made the difficult decision to trade away star cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

Although Ramsey’s personality was a bit much for the team to deal with, he was obviously a tremendous player who has now become a cornerstone piece for the Los Angeles Rams.

The loss of Ramsey obviously puts cornerback high on the priority list for the Jags this offseason, and CJ Henderson would be a great option here.

Henderson has excellent closing speed and simply has a nose for the football. He loves to be physical at the line of scrimmage and impose his will, and he showed versatility to play inside and outside in college.

In his three seasons at Florida, Henderson picked off six passes and broke up 20 more. He’s got a nose for the football and his athleticism combined with physicality make him as good of a young replacement for Jalen Ramsey as the Jaguars could ask for in this draft class.
