Since the college football playoff, Patrick Queen’s stock has been soaring.
He’s not quite the level of prospect as Devin White was last year, but he’s certainly a first-round player and has the look of the type of linebacker NFL teams are coveting these days.
The Raiders have really been scrambling trying to figure out their inside linebacker position, and to come away from this first round with both Jerry Jeudy and Patrick Queen? They would probably be hitting the slot machines to figure out if their luck was going to run out anytime soon.
Queen has the coverage abilities to be an effective three-down linebacker in the NFL. His speed and instincts against the run along with his range really stand out when you watch him play, and he is excellent when asked to blitz and make plays as a pass rusher.
He seems to always be a step ahead of the offense.
