This episode gets right into the thick of things, as the guys focus on fixing the Dallas Cowboys, a team who sputtered down the stretch and ended up missing the playoffs. They made a head coaching change by hiring former Packers head coach Mike McCarthy, who is deemed a safe hire by our co-hosts.

Then it’s time to talk about the free agency period, which should be a wild ride for Dallas. Dak Prescott will become a free agent in March, unless of course the Cowboys decide to franchise him. Prescott should be a part of this team’s future going forward, so it would be a shock to see him elsewhere.

The other key free agent from the offense, Amari Cooper, will likely command near $20 million per season. If he walks, Dallas would be in dire need of wide receiver help. The other question mark in free agency is corner Byron Jones. With some cap space left, Nate opts to add a tight end.

The guys decide who they are re-signing, and it’s on to the mock draft (26:00). Since Jake decided against signing Byron Jones back, he goes corner in the first, while Nate goes a different direction in the secondary. Jake continues the secondary build in round two, and Nate gets a wide receiver. Then Jake finds help in the slot in round three, and Nate goes to help out the edge.
