The Cowboys, like every other team in the NFL, will probably at least consider drafting two receivers from this class.

It remains to be seen what a consensus wide receiver board would look like at this point, but everyone’s board is going to look different. The Draft Network has SMU receiver James Proche available at the bottom of their mock draft machine right now, and I don’t know how long that will last.

If Proche can’t run below 4.55 or something like that, maybe he will be available in the seventh round.

Otherwise, it’s hard to fathom he will be here. This is a receiver who simply does not drop passes.

As another local product, this would be a really fun pick for Dallas and Proche is a player they could put in the slot immediately, even as a late-round pick.

He has some size deficiencies, but they never limited him from being able to win at the catch point. I think Proche is tremendously underrated and would be a nice fit for Dallas here.
